Cape Lookout Park

The weekend before last we went camping on the coast at Cape Lookout. It is located right outside Tillamook, Or which has a lot of dairy farms in turn giving the entire town a distinct odor. Tillamook cheese is made here and it is quite the good thing.

I was rambo in my mind.

There is a picture of the fire because it took forever to get that going. I refused to pay for wood and it was damp out...

The forests in Oregon are really cool. The have little underbrush and walking is pretty easy with lots of bright green moss everywhere. It's really dense though and is easy to get turned around in there.

A couple pics has a picture of this really misty cloud that rolled down out of the mountains onto the coast, it was quite the site.

Wow...those pictures are amazing!! I am embarressed to say this, but I am reading the book Twilight (I know, its about teenage love and vampires, but it is SO good!) and most/alot of it takes place in the woods that I imagine to look just like those pictures. (It takes place in Forks, Washington...right outside of Olympic National Park.) So big and green with the light sneaking through! It just makes me realize how much of America I have not seen and need to!

Yeah, the woods always make me feel like I'm an ewok in star wars. Lots of ferns and mushrooms, it's basically a rainforest. You guys gotta come check out the NW sometime!

It's good to see that your fire starting skills are still intact.
